Rider Premium 30 L – ultralight red Cordura bicycle panniers

Extrawheel Rider Premium 30 L is a set of two ultralight, waterproof bicycle panniers made from red CORDURA® fabric. Their combined capacity of 30 L (2 × 15 L) and total weight of only 1.20 kg create a compact luggage system for commuting, shopping, weekend rides and lightweight bicycle touring.

The panniers can be fitted to a compatible front or rear bicycle rack. Two separate compartments make it easier to organise equipment and distribute the load evenly on both sides of the bicycle. Each pannier can also be mounted and used separately.

The distinctive red colour provides an alternative to classic black and can be coordinated with the appearance of the bicycle. Visibility after dark is supported by the reflective elements; the fabric colour itself does not replace bicycle lights or reflectors.

CORDURA® and HFW – lightweight, durable and waterproof construction

Rider Premium panniers are made from durable CORDURA® fabric manufactured in Germany. The material is valued for its abrasion resistance and relatively low weight, making it suitable for regular riding and multi-day trips. Learn more about CORDURA® for bicycle panniers.

The compatible material layers in the welded areas are joined using high-frequency welding (HFW). Welded joints reduce the need for conventional stitching in the main areas of the pannier body and help limit potential entry points for water.

Full waterproof protection is achieved after rolling the closure down four times, fastening the buckles and compressing the pannier. CORDURA® primarily provides abrasion resistance, while the welded construction and correctly closed roll-top protect the contents from rain, mud and moisture.

Large reflective elements help improve the cyclist’s visibility after dark and in conditions of reduced visibility.

Only 1.20 kg for 30 L of capacity

The complete Rider Premium set weighs only 1.20 kg while providing 30 L of total capacity. This gives a weight-to-capacity ratio of approximately 40 g/L.

Low pannier weight is particularly useful when climbing, carrying the bicycle or reducing the total weight of touring equipment. The compact capacity works well for everyday journeys, shorter trips and tours planned around a reduced packing list.

Rider Premium can also be used as an additional front pannier set on a longer tour, provided that the front rack is compatible with the hook spacing and its permitted load is not exceeded.

Rixen & Kaul mounting system

Rider Premium panniers use a Rixen & Kaul mounting system. The upper hooks have fixed spacing, so their position must be compared with the design of the front or rear rack before purchase.

The lower hook can be positioned to match the rack design, helping to limit pannier movement while riding. Each pannier can be fitted independently.

Rider Premium or the red coated-polyester Rider?

Rider Premium and the red coated-polyester Rider provide the same total capacity of 30 L, comparable dimensions and a Rixen & Kaul mounting system. The main differences are the material and weight.

• Rider Premium: CORDURA® fabric, 1.20 kg per set, focused on low weight and abrasion resistance,
• Rider: coated polyester fabric, 1.50 kg per set, with a smooth surface that is particularly easy to clean.

Rider Premium is 300 g, or 20%, lighter than the coated-polyester version. It is a suitable choice for riders who prioritise low weight and a durable textile surface.

Made in Poland, servicing and a 5-year warranty

Rider Premium panniers are designed and manufactured at the Extrawheel production facility in Poland. Direct control over manufacturing helps maintain consistent quality and gives customers access to servicing and selected spare parts.

The product is covered by a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty. Its repairable construction is intended for long-term use, so damage to a replaceable mounting component does not necessarily mean replacing the complete set.
