Warranty & Service
Extrawheel provides a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty covering manufacturing defects. No product registration is required. Our products are designed and manufactured in Poland, and if a problem occurs, customers have direct access to the manufacturer, warranty service and, where technically possible, after-warranty service. Selected spare parts are also available.
Extrawheel 5-year manufacturer’s warranty – no product registration required
Our five-year warranty reflects the way we design bicycle equipment for use over many seasons. Durability is considered from the beginning of product development – from construction and material selection to components and manufacturing technology. This applies to our bicycle panniers, bike bags, dry bags, bicycle trailers and other Extrawheel equipment.

Extrawheel products are covered by a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty. There is no requirement to register the product in an additional system, complete an activation form or purchase an extended warranty.
The warranty period runs from the date of purchase. If you make a warranty claim, we may ask for an order number or another form of proof that allows the purchase and its date to be verified.
The Extrawheel manufacturer’s warranty is an additional benefit. It does not exclude, restrict or replace any statutory consumer rights that may apply to your purchase.
Why does Extrawheel offer a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty?
A long warranty is meaningful only when it is supported by the way a product is designed and manufactured. As a Polish manufacturer of bicycle equipment, Extrawheel has direct control over product design, material selection, manufacturing technologies and the key stages of quality control.
We do not select materials and critical components solely on the basis of the lowest price. Our decisions take into account the intended use of the product, technical properties, durability, consistency of quality and the possibility of using and servicing the equipment over many years.
Materials selected for their intended use
A pannier used every day for commuting faces different conditions from equipment designed for multi-day touring, bikepacking or prolonged riding in wet weather. For this reason, we select materials according to the construction and intended use of each product rather than applying one material solution to every model.
Depending on the product, we use technical coated and laminated fabrics as well as materials selected for intensive use. We consider not only the properties of the base fabric but also the quality of its coating or laminate, its behaviour during joining and its compatibility with the other components of the product.
Proven components and mounting systems
The durability of a pannier depends on more than the fabric itself. Hooks, rails, buckles, webbing, adjustment components and the way they are attached are equally important. Depending on the model, we use proven mounting solutions including systems from Rixen & Kaul and Racktime/Tubus.
Replaceability is also an important part of our product design. A worn or damaged mounting component does not necessarily mean replacing the entire pannier. In many cases, the individual component can be replaced.
Manufacturing and quality control in Poland
Extrawheel has its headquarters and production facility in Harklowa, southern Poland. Product design, development, manufacturing and quality control are carried out in Poland. This gives us direct oversight of the production process and allows customer and service feedback to be incorporated into subsequent product development.
Quality control is not limited to the appearance of the finished product. We also consider the correct execution of joints, mounting components, closures, adjustment systems and the overall functionality of the finished product.
Manufacturing technology matched to the product
Different constructions require different joining methods. Where appropriate, selected products use 3D HFW high-frequency welding. Other constructions use sewing together with suitable methods of seam protection.
We do not regard one manufacturing method as the right solution for every product. The joining technology should match the material, geometry, intended use and required performance of the design. Our guide to what makes bicycle panniers waterproof explains in more detail how fabrics, joints, closures and mounting points work together to protect the contents.
Testing and product development at Extrawheel
New designs are developed in stages. Before a product enters regular production, we assess prototypes, assembly methods, closures, joints and mounting components. We also evaluate how the product performs in real-world use.
Product development does not end when a model enters the market. Feedback from users and experience gained through servicing provide valuable information about components and construction details that can be improved in subsequent versions.
We do not assign technical ratings or test classifications to a complete product solely on the basis of the material used. Where a performance claim depends on a particular standard or test method, it should be based on an appropriate test of the finished product or the relevant part of its construction.
Extrawheel warranty service
If a problem that may result from a manufacturing defect becomes apparent during the warranty period, the product is assessed individually. Depending on the nature of the defect and the available technical solution, the appropriate remedy may involve repair, replacement of the relevant component or another measure provided for under the warranty terms.
We recommend initially sending us a description of the problem and, where possible, photographs of the affected area. This often allows us to make a preliminary assessment and advise on the next step without requiring the product to be shipped unnecessarily.
For details of the claim procedure, please see Complaints & Claims.
After-warranty service – a product can remain useful beyond its warranty period
The end of the five-year warranty period does not automatically mean the end of the product’s service life. Where the construction of the product and the type of damage allow it, Extrawheel can assess the possibility of an after-warranty repair.
Repairability is particularly important for bicycle equipment intended for many years of use. Wear or damage to an individual hook, adjustment component or part of a mounting system does not always justify replacing the complete pannier or bag.
Our shop offers Extrawheel accessories and spare parts, including selected hooks, mounting components, adapters and parts designed for specific products.
What does the Extrawheel 5-year manufacturer’s warranty cover?
The warranty covers manufacturing defects that become apparent during the warranty period, provided that the product has been used correctly and in accordance with its intended purpose and the manufacturer’s instructions.
A manufacturing defect may include a problem resulting from the way the product was manufactured, assembled or processed. Each claim is assessed individually, taking into account the product, the location and nature of the problem and the circumstances in which it occurred.
The detailed scope of the warranty is governed by the warranty terms applicable to the relevant product.
What is not covered by the manufacturer’s warranty?
The manufacturer’s warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or damage that is not caused by a manufacturing defect. This includes, in particular, mechanical damage caused during use, an accident or transport, overloading, use contrary to the product’s intended purpose or instructions, improper storage or maintenance, unauthorised modifications and the normal wear of components that are subject to regular use.
The fact that damage occurs during the warranty period does not automatically mean that it results from a manufacturing defect. Each claim is therefore assessed individually.
How do I submit a product for warranty service or make a claim?
We recommend contacting us before sending the product. Please provide the product name or model, approximate purchase date, order number or other proof of purchase and a clear description of the problem. Where possible, include photographs of the affected area and the complete product.
Claims can be sent to shop@extrawheel.com. After an initial assessment, we will advise you on the next steps.
Full details are available on our Complaints & Claims page. Before using a product for the first time, we also recommend reading the relevant user manual or instructions.
Manufacturer’s warranty and statutory consumer rights
The Extrawheel manufacturer’s warranty is a voluntary, additional undertaking provided by the manufacturer. It does not exclude, restrict or suspend any mandatory statutory consumer rights that apply to the purchase.
Depending on the country and circumstances of the purchase, consumers may have statutory remedies against the seller independently of the manufacturer’s warranty.
