Extrawheel Wayfarer 50 L is a set of two rear bicycle panniers with a total capacity of 50 L (2 × 25 L). It is designed for multi-day trips, bicycle touring and carrying larger amounts of luggage on a compatible rear rack.

Two separate panniers make it easier to organise equipment and distribute the load evenly between both sides of the bicycle. Each pannier includes an inner pocket for documents, tools and smaller accessories. Either pannier can also be mounted and used separately.

Coated polyester and protected sewn seams

The main body of each pannier is made from durable coated polyester fabric manufactured in Germany. Its smooth surface is practical in wet and muddy conditions because it can be cleaned easily with a damp cloth or sponge.

The back panel is made from German Tarpaulin with a weight of 680 g/m². This material reinforces the area exposed to contact with the rack and makes it easier to remove dirt from the wheel-facing side of the pannier.

Wayfarer uses a sewn construction with seams protected from the inside. It is not an HFW-welded construction. Waterproof protection during riding is achieved by rolling the top down four times, fastening the buckles and compressing the pannier. When closed correctly, the panniers protect their contents from rain, mud, splashing water and moisture. They are not designed for prolonged immersion.

Racktime/Tubus system with continuously adjustable hooks

The upper hooks of the Racktime/Tubus mounting system can be moved continuously along the rail. This makes it easier to align them with the stays and available mounting space on a particular rack. It can also make moving the panniers between different compatible bicycles more convenient.

With the appropriate reducer inserts, the system is intended for rack tubes with a diameter of 6–16 mm. The lower retaining hook can be rotated and adjusted along its rail through 360° to help reduce pannier movement on uneven surfaces.

Adjustability increases the range of possible fitting positions, but it does not guarantee compatibility with every rack. Before purchasing, check the rack tube diameter, position of the stays, available space for the rail and hooks, position of the lower hook, heel clearance and the rack’s permitted load. These checks are also important for electric bicycles and racks positioned close to the battery.

Reflective elements on both panniers improve the rider’s visibility after dark and in conditions of reduced visibility.

Polyester Wayfarer or Cordura Wayfarer Premium?

Both versions have a total capacity of 50 L, the same dimensions, inner pockets, sewn construction and adjustable Racktime/Tubus mounting system. Both sets also weigh approximately 1.98 kg. The main difference is the material and its surface characteristics.

The polyester Wayfarer has a smooth coated surface that is easy to clean after riding in rain and mud. The Wayfarer Premium made from Cordura has a textile surface and is intended for riders who prioritise the abrasion resistance and characteristic appearance of Cordura.

Made in Poland, serviceable and covered by a 5-year warranty

Wayfarer panniers are designed and manufactured at the Extrawheel production facility in Poland. Direct control over the production process helps maintain consistent specifications and gives customers access to servicing and replaceable mounting-system components.
