Red shoulder strap for bicycle panniers and bags

The Extrawheel shoulder strap makes it easier to carry a bicycle pannier, bag or dry bag after taking it off the bike. Its adjustable length allows the carrying position to be adapted to the user and the size of the luggage, while the sliding shoulder pad helps distribute pressure more comfortably.

The strap is made from durable red webbing. Both ends feature metal G-hooks that allow quick attachment to suitable loops, handles or buckles on the bag.

Aluminium G-hooks and adjustable length

Two aluminium G-hooks provide a simple connection between the strap and the bag. Their open design allows the strap to be attached or removed quickly without dismantling other components. Before use, make sure that both hooks are correctly seated in the attachment points.

The strap length can be adjusted using the buckle. This makes it possible to carry a pannier or bag comfortably on one shoulder and adapt its position to the user’s height. The sliding shoulder pad can be positioned exactly where the strap rests on the shoulder.

Compatibility with bicycle panniers, bags and dry bags

The strap is designed primarily for Extrawheel products equipped with suitable attachment points. It may also be used with products from other manufacturers, provided that their loops or handles allow the G-hooks to be attached correctly and securely.

Before purchasing, check the type and position of the attachment points on your pannier or bag. The strap must not be attached to components that are not designed to carry a load.

Can the strap be used to attach a pannier to a rack or secure luggage while riding?

No. The strap is intended only for carrying a pannier or bag after it has been removed from the bicycle. It does not replace the hooks or mounting rail used to attach a pannier to a rack and must not be used to secure luggage while riding.

Can the strap length and shoulder pad position be adjusted?

Yes. The buckle allows the strap length to be adjusted to the user’s height, the size of the bag and the preferred carrying position. The shoulder pad slides along the strap so it can be positioned where the strap rests on the shoulder, helping to distribute pressure more evenly.

How is the shoulder strap attached to a pannier or bag?

Attach each of the two aluminium G-hooks to a suitable loop, handle or buckle on the bag. Before lifting the bag, make sure both hooks are seated correctly and that the attachment points are designed to support the load.

Does the strap also fit panniers and bags from other manufacturers?

It may fit, but it is not a universal strap for every product. The loops, handles or buckles must hold the G-hooks securely and be designed to support the weight of the loaded bag. Check the type and position of the attachment points before purchasing.

Does the Extrawheel shoulder strap fit every bicycle pannier or bag?

The strap is designed for compatible bicycle panniers, handlebar bags, dry bags and other bags equipped with two correctly positioned attachment points. It can be used as an additional or replacement carrying strap if both G-hooks can be attached securely.
